About the position

The Sr. Manager of Logistics at CONMED is responsible for overseeing the Lithia Springs distribution center, ensuring compliance with regulations, optimizing operational functions, and meeting customer expectations. This role involves leading a team, collaborating with senior leaders, and driving the organization's distribution objectives to support growth and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, control, and manage the Lithia Springs distribution center activities.
  • Work closely with functional leaders to develop and execute distribution objectives.
  • Build, develop, and lead a team of distribution and transportation leaders, as well as hourly employees.
  • Engage and inspire a dynamic workforce to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Achieve key financial indicators for the distribution network and manage the site budget.
  • Design and provide adequate systems and infrastructure to meet company growth and customer expectations.
  • Coach the distribution team and communicate performance expectations.
  • Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities to maximize investments and efficiency.
  • Oversee distribution center operations to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ensure facilities meet regulatory and environmental requirements for product handling.
  • Organize facilities with adequate manpower, equipment, and information systems.
  • Develop information systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in the distribution center.
  • Provide training to management teams and employees on operating systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations in municipalities interfacing with the distribution center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7 or more years of distribution, supply chain, operations, or logistics experience.
  • Experience successfully leading teams comprised of both hourly and salaried level employees.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA and/or Master's degree in a related field.
