About the position

This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department, facilities, grounds, and infrastructure within the Braselton Distribution Center, a 1.1 million sq ft facility. The role involves strategic and tactical responsibilities, including project management, analytics of maintenance activities, and collaboration with operations leadership. The position reports to the Senior Director of Engineering and includes direct management of four team members.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the implementation of innovative projects and solutions leveraging analytics and operations feedback.
  • Analyze maintenance activities, team performance, and vendor performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee capital expenditure projects related to building enhancements and process improvement.
  • Support the growth of the distribution network by leveraging knowledge of maintenance equipment and procedures.
  • Oversee the repair and maintenance of all distribution center equipment and facility-related items.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels for maintenance demands and adherence to safety standards and work guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for flow and material handling equipment improvement and utilize preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Obtain quotes for capital expenditures related to building and equipment.
  • Collaborate and communicate business plans and priorities with internal and external partners.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the operations leadership team across all shifts.
  • Manage special projects and material handling enhancements with maintenance staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • 5-7 years of maintenance experience.
  • 5-7 years of leadership experience in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in large project management and Controls/PLC.

  • Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts.
  • Working knowledge of technical processes and procedures in a maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge of construction processes.
