In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior management to develop, plan, and execute annual business plans, as well as short and long-term strategic plans. This includes developing budgets, capital plans, and performance goals for each department. You will be responsible for creating and implementing manufacturing processes that set industry benchmarks for lead-time, small lot sizes, and cost efficiency. Additionally, you will build and propose business plans for large-scale initiatives and design manufacturing processes that support the timely launch of new products. You will consistently assess emerging trends in manufacturing and their potential impact on operations, developing proposals to mitigate risks or leapfrog ahead of competitors. Managing material requirements to increase inventory turns while reducing on-hand levels will also be a key responsibility. You will perform other duties as assigned and ensure compliance with applicable governmental laws and regulations, both domestically and internationally. Responsibilities

  • Conceive, design, develop and deploy manufacturing processes and operations that support the timely launch of new products.
  • Assess emerging trends in manufacturing and develop proposals to mitigate risks or leapfrog ahead.
  • Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred experience leading teams in product design, manufacturing, and tool design.
  • Advanced knowledge of scheduling, engineering, production, quality control, and shipping functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of CNC programming, turning, milling, secondary processing, assembly, cleaning, blueprint interpretation, and GD&T.
  • Budget development and management responsibilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using lean principles to deliver a complete value stream look of projects with total expected and demonstrated lead time and all cycle times less than TAKT time.
  • Experience managing direct staff, including attracting and developing talent to achieve strategic and tactical organizational needs.
