About the position

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Governance at Capital One will lead the Email Governance team within the Enterprise Marketing and Messaging organization. This role focuses on developing, testing, and scaling policies to enhance the email experience for customers while achieving business objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in email marketing and messaging governance to drive impactful strategies and foster collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Enterprise email governance workstream, focusing on improving email policies for relevant content delivery.
  • Set governance vision and lead roadmapping, discovery, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Define and execute an experimentation strategy in collaboration with business analysts and data scientists.
  • Work with line of business partners and conduct customer research to understand priorities and needs.
  • Collaborate with email platform product teams to implement and scale governance policies with automation in mind.
  • Uphold high standards for management and contribute to processes that reduce risk.
  • Lead company-wide governance forums to enhance transparency into messaging and governance policies.
  • Synthesize research insights, marketing trends, and external factors into strategic recommendations.
  • Influence internal decision-makers through effective communication and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data-driven messaging strategy.
  • At least 5 years of experience in planning, execution, and analysis of marketing programs.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial marketing.
