About the position

The Sr. Manager, Marketing Governance at Capital One will lead the Email Governance team within the Enterprise Marketing and Messaging organization. This role focuses on developing, testing, and scaling policies to enhance the email experience for customers while achieving business objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage their marketing strategy and analytical skills to influence and implement effective messaging governance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Enterprise email governance workstream.
  • Set governance vision and lead roadmapping, discovery, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Define and execute an experimentation strategy with business analysts and data scientists.
  • Work with line of business partners and design/customer research to understand priorities and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with email platform product teams to implement and scale governance policies.
  • Uphold high standards for management and contribute to defining processes that reduce risk.
  • Lead company-wide governance forums to increase transparency into messaging and governance policies.
  • Synthesize and implement research insights, marketing trends, and competitive landscape into strategy recommendations.
  • Influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data-driven messaging strategy.
  • At least 5 years of experience in planning, execution, and analysis of marketing programs.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial marketing.
