About the position

The Sr Manager Materials Master Data at Freeman is responsible for overseeing the business process of setting up and maintaining material master data. This role involves daily creation and mass updates of data, driving improvements in processes, and ensuring data governance and quality across multiple systems. The position supports the Data Operations team and requires a strong aptitude for managing data intricacies during a multi-year transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute daily operations of material master data, including creation and mass maintenance.
  • Develop and improve Master Data Management (MDM) processes for data standardization and information management.
  • Create and update training documents, SOPs, and business processes related to master data management.
  • Enhance material master data governance and quality to support internal teams and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor compliance with established processes for data creation and updates.
  • Support cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives as the MDM expert.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely execution of all data requests.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in collaboration with business units.
  • Lead audits of master data in ERP systems for compliance with standards and policies.
  • Present to business and technology leaders regarding material data impacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Information Management preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems and master data management is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot tables and VBA scripting.
  • Experience in data systems and data warehousing.
  • Cross-functional business knowledge in Supply Chain, Production, Finance, and Sales.
  • Strong leadership skills in project planning and coordination.
  • Ability to analyze and simplify complex data concepts.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage, train, and coach team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with analytical skills or aptitude in data management.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work independently under pressure.
