About the position

The Sr. Manager of Media, Advertising, Production, and Procurement at Barilla serves as the center of excellence for the Americas region, overseeing all media-related activities. This role is pivotal in achieving marketing and communication objectives set by the Regional Marketing VP and involves collaboration with Regional Marketing Directors. The manager will drive media agency outputs, manage advertising production budgets, and ensure optimal procurement practices while maintaining high performance standards across all media initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the center of excellence for Media, Advertising Production, and Procurement in the Americas region.
  • Collaborate with marketing heads to optimize the Barilla Communication Process for assigned regions.
  • Monitor spending related to media, advertising, production, and procurement, ensuring proper reporting to relevant departments.
  • Manage relationships with media agencies, defining and monitoring KPIs for media planning and buying activities.
  • Train and manage a specialist, providing continuous feedback and support.
  • Ensure compliance with media supplier agreements and negotiate penalties for under-deliveries.
  • Contribute to the management of Barilla media orders in accordance with local rules and procedures.
  • Execute auditing projects to benchmark costs and quality of media agency activities.
  • Manage advertising production budgets and timelines, ensuring alignment with brand media strategies.
  • Drive special communication projects through innovative media approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, media, or communication.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a media agency or company's media planning & buying department.
  • Solid knowledge of media strategy, terminology, and analytics across online and offline channels.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on digital media reporting and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Integrated account and/or project management experience.
  • Experience with media planning tools such as Nielsen, Com Score, DoubleClick, and Google AdWords.
  • Experience managing programmatic media campaigns.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
