About the position

The role focuses on developing and executing patient opinion leader initiatives and influencer programs at Neurocrine Biosciences. It involves managing patient programs, creating content, and executing patient events while ensuring compliance with guidelines. The position requires building relationships with patient opinion leaders and collaborating with various internal teams to address patient needs and market trends. The ideal candidate will have experience in rare diseases, particularly in endocrinology, and will be passionate about improving the lives of patients with complex conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development and execution of patient opinion leader initiatives and influencer programs.
  • Supports the design and optimization of campaigns and materials through engagement with agency partners and patient advocacy.
  • Identifies patient opinion leaders and manages patient programs.
  • Develops content and executes patient events such as conferences and educational events.
  • Participates in annual brand planning activities and provides actionable insights.
  • Implements marketing initiatives within the region and executes patient engagement strategies.
  • Builds compliant relationships with patient opinion leaders and key influencers.
  • Connects thought leaders with relevant parts of the organization while maintaining compliance.
  • Liaises with internal teams to execute POL engagement plans and address patient needs.
  • Conducts informal social listening to glean insights and anticipates market trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field with 6+ years of experience in field sales, marketing, or clinical experience in a related therapeutic area.
  • MBA or equivalent preferred with 4+ years of similar experience.
  • Pharmaceutical Sales, Marketing, and/or Account Management experience required.
  • BS/BA degree in marketing or life sciences with 8+ years of related experience, including 5+ years in a marketing role for a pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device company.
  • Experience in implementing patient marketing programs with measurable business impact.
  • Expertise in managing and collaborating with multiple vendors and agency partners.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in rare disease marketing, particularly in endocrinology, pediatrics, or genetic diseases.
  • Patient services and/or advocacy experience.
  • Strong relationships with the patient community and patient-facing colleagues.
