About the position

The Sr. Organization Change Management (OCM) Partner at LyondellBasell Industries is a pivotal role responsible for leading the development, implementation, and execution of effective change management strategies across the organization. This position is crucial in ensuring that changes are made in a structured, systematic, and controlled manner, which is essential for reducing resistance, uncertainty, and disruptions. The successful candidate will foster successful adoption and positive acceptance of change within the organization, thereby enhancing overall organizational effectiveness. In this role, the Senior OCM Partner will operate with a strategic mindset, collaborating effectively across global teams to execute projects and strategic initiatives with precision. The individual will interface with and influence various stakeholders, including business leaders and employees, across the enterprise. This requires a deep understanding of organizational dynamics and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing change management strategies for key People & Culture projects, collaborating with project managers and cross-functional teams, creating actionable deliverables, conducting assessments, and delivering change management activities. The Senior OCM Partner will also lead change impact assessments, proactively communicate plans and updates, evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives, and continuously improve OCM strategies and practices. Training and coaching managers and employees on change management principles is also a critical aspect of this role, along with ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to change management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans for key People & Culture projects and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with project managers, leaders, cross-functional teams, Corporate Communications and other key stakeholders to integrate and drive OCM plans and activities
  • Create actionable deliverables, conduct assessments and analyses, and deliver change management activities
  • Identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance, and mitigate areas of concern through pre-planning, collaboration, and influence
  • Lead change impact assessments to determine the level of impacts to the organization for initiatives requiring significant change
  • Proactively communicate change management plans, status updates, and impact assessments to stakeholders
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of change management initiatives, including development and tracking of metrics, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Continuously improve OCM strategy, processes, tools, templates, and practices
  • Train and coach managers and employees on change management principles and processes
  • Facilitate change management workshops, meetings, and other activities as needed
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to change management

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, organizational behavior, change leadership, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience implementing change management strategies across a range of initiatives, preferably with a global workforce
  • Working knowledge of OCM processes, methods, and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, presentation, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate within globally distributed teams with a collaborative, intercultural mindset
  • Exceptional organizational, pre-planning, and project management skills
  • Demonstrates ability to build relationships and interact with senior management and key partner groups
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to change management
  • Ability to quickly understand organization's current technologies, practices, and strategic direction
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Must be a team player and able to work with and through others
  • Excels at dealing with ambiguity, solutions-oriented
