About the position

The Sr. Manager, Owned Social Media at TIAA is responsible for developing and executing the social media strategy for TIAA's brands, products, and services. This role aims to enhance brand perception and support broader marketing goals through effective social media management. The manager will collaborate with various teams to create and manage content, ensuring brand consistency and engagement across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage TIAA's social media strategy to deliver brand, product, and thought leadership messages.
  • Execute the social media strategy, including content creation, curation, campaign building, community management, and reporting.
  • Own the social content strategy, including publishing relevant, original, high-quality content.
  • Create a regular publishing schedule and implement a content editorial calendar.
  • Partner with the paid social media team to promote content through paid channels.
  • Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice, and terminology.
  • Design, conduct, and deliver standard and custom social media reports.
  • Coordinate with employee advocacy and sales engagement program leads.
  • Monitor the social media competitive landscape and produce quarterly insight reports.
  • Stay updated on current technology, social media, advertising, and content marketing trends.
  • Define TIAA's social engagement and conversation strategy, targeting clients and brand advocates.
  • Establish goals and metrics for measuring and benchmarking efforts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working at a media agency focused on Organic Social or client-side experience in a media COE on Organic Social.
  • Strong familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, and TikTok.
  • Proficient in social media search, analysis, and content distribution tools (e.g., Hearsay, HootSuite).
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and peers.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly in presentations.
  • Effective time management and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement social media strategies.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience working at a media agency focused on Organic Social or client-side experience in a media COE on Organic Social.
  • 6+ years of marketing experience with a focus on social media marketing.
