The Sr. Manager, Port Captain, Marine Nautical position at Royal Caribbean Group is a pivotal role within the Marine Operations Team, reporting directly to the Vice-President of Marine Operations. The position also involves monitoring the company's shoreside training program for marine officers and leading special projects related to safety and navigation. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for hiring bridge officers for the Celebrity Fleet and will serve as a member of several working groups focused on evacuation, navigation, and human factors. Externally, the Sr. Manager will act as the nautical point of contact for various regulatory bodies, including the USCG and Class authorities, and will oversee the budget for the shoreside training program. The role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to develop high-performing teams, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Mariner license and have at least five years of managerial experience in the cruise industry, demonstrating a strong analytical mindset and the ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
