About the position

At Neo4j, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to set up the Product-Led Growth (PLG) Marketing function. This role is pivotal in accelerating our self-serve Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and will involve close collaboration with the Product team to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth through innovative, data-driven marketing strategies. As a key member of our Marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive growth plans, optimizing marketing funnels, and driving impactful campaigns that will fuel our expansion in the B2B cloud infrastructure space. In this execution-heavy Growth Marketing role, you will identify priority market segments and define the ideal customer journey and lifecycle for Neo4j's self-serve products. You will develop detailed digital marketing plans that encompass the entire customer lifecycle, including customer acquisition, ongoing usage, engagement, retention, and growth. These plans will include messaging and channel-level activation details across various platforms such as content marketing, social media, paid media, web, and email marketing. You will orchestrate the execution of these plans across Digital, Content, Web, and Email marketing teams, taking ownership of all PLG Growth Marketing outcomes. Additionally, you will define key operational metrics to measure and optimize the performance of lifecycle marketing efforts across channels. A/B testing programs will be designed and deployed to test hypotheses throughout the customer lifecycle. You will also conduct market research and gather customer feedback to better understand the needs, preferences, and pain points of our target audience. This role will require you to represent the business in quarterly reviews with C-level executives across Product, Marketing, and Revenue organizations, ensuring alignment and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Identify priority market segments and define the ideal customer journey and lifecycle for Neo4j's self-serve products.
  • Develop detailed digital marketing plans for the complete customer lifecycle, including customer acquisition, ongoing usage, engagement, retention, and growth.
  • Orchestrate execution of plans across Digital, Content, Web, and Email marketing teams, and own outcomes of all PLG Growth Marketing efforts.
  • Define key operational metrics to measure and optimize the performance of lifecycle marketing efforts across channels.
  • Design and deploy A/B testing program for testing hypotheses across the complete customer lifecycle.
  • Jointly own revenue objectives with Product counterparts.
  • Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to understand target audience needs, preferences, and pain points.
  • Represent the business in quarterly reviews with C-level executives across Product, Marketing, and Revenue organizations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in growth marketing, preferably within B2B SaaS or within technical products in the cloud infrastructure industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms (e.g., Iterable, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, 6Sense, Salesforce).
  • Proven track record of collaborating cross-functionally with a small, high performing group of peers across Marketing, Product, and Engineering.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience marketing to a technical audience is a plus.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in digital marketing, data analytics, or growth hacking is a plus.
