About the position

As the Sr Manager of Product Management for AI Solutions and Development at Disney Experiences, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI initiatives within the organization. This position is situated within a unique AI center-of-excellence, where you will lead a multi-disciplinary team of technologists, including engineers, developers, and business analysts. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver highly visible AI solutions that enhance the overall guest experience across Disney's Parks & Resorts, Disney Cruise Lines, and Disney Vacation Club. You will work closely with Senior Leadership and various technologists to influence AI strategy and drive cross-functional integration, ensuring that Disney remains at the forefront of emerging technologies, particularly in the realm of generative AI. In this role, you will develop product roadmaps for generative AI initiatives, taking into account business impact, technical feasibility, and resource availability. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications, collaborating directly with engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation of generative AI solutions. Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) for these projects will be crucial, as you will provide regular updates to stakeholders and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Additionally, you will assess potential risks and challenges associated with generative AI projects, proactively addressing concerns related to ethics, privacy, and security. Your leadership will extend to the development and execution of training programs aimed at upskilling team members and other stakeholders on AI and generative AI. You will also collaborate with industry thought-leaders and strategic partners to co-innovate and expand the adoption of generative AI across the organization. This includes prioritizing new use cases and driving innovation in alignment with overall business objectives. As the primary point of contact for internal customers, you will seek to understand their business needs and goals related to generative AI adoption, facilitating communication between business and technical teams. Your role will also involve educating and evangelizing generative AI capabilities to various internal stakeholders, showcasing potential use cases and the business value they can deliver. Finally, you will foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within your team, encouraging exploration of new ideas and approaches to leverage AI and generative AI safely.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product roadmaps for generative AI initiatives, considering business impact, technical feasibility, and resource availability.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, working with engineering teams for successful implementation of generative AI solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs for generative AI projects, providing regular updates to stakeholders and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Assess potential risks and challenges associated with generative AI projects, addressing concerns related to ethics, privacy, and security.
  • Work with Senior Leadership and technologists to provide strategic guidance and drive cross-functional integration.
  • Lead the development and execution of training programs to upskill team members and stakeholders on AI/Generative AI.
  • Collaborate with industry thought-leaders and strategic partners to co-innovate.
  • Seek opportunities to expand adoption of GenAI across the organization, prioritizing new use cases and driving innovation.
  • Own executive communication strategy to senior leaders and key stakeholders, presenting at forums and high-level meetings.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal customers to understand their business needs related to generative AI adoption.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to identify GenAI use cases and facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
  • Educate and evangelize generative AI capabilities to internal stakeholders, showcasing potential use cases and business value.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the team.
  • Conduct market research and stay updated on the latest generative AI tools, platforms, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a similar role, with a proven track record of successful product commercialization.
  • Leadership experience in managing multi-disciplinary technical teams including product management/strategy, technology, design, engineers, and analytics.
  • Experience with prompting techniques (text and visual).
  • Product management experience with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously and manage competing priorities.
  • Basic understanding of how to use Generative AI and AI suites (Google Vertex, Azure OpenAI) to write simple LLM applications.
  • Experience in conducting market research, gathering and analyzing business requirements, and creating product roadmaps.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and product management best practices.
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with evolving priorities and deliverables.
  • Experience with adaptive leadership, enabling team resilience during periods of organizational ambiguity.
  • Strong understanding of generative AI concepts, techniques, and tools, with hands-on experience using platforms such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI Copilot, DALL-E, Adobe Firefly, Runway, or similar.
