About the position

The Sr. Manager, CIO Product Marketing at Salesforce will play a crucial role in shaping the company's strategy to engage with Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and drive the adoption of Salesforce solutions. This position is designed for a self-starting, team-oriented individual who is passionate about product marketing and has a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by CIOs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative marketing programs that resonate with this audience, positioning Salesforce as a strategic partner in their business journey. In this role, you will be tasked with crafting inspirational stories and delivering groundbreaking product demonstrations that capture the attention of CIOs. You will develop product messaging and positioning, create campaigns, and execute go-to-market programs that drive sales enablement and generate interest in Salesforce solutions. Your success will be measured by your ability to deliver relevant content that not only creates interest but also contributes to the sales pipeline and ultimately leads to new customer acquisition. Key responsibilities include developing a comprehensive content strategy tailored for CIOs, managing the company's digital presence through website optimization and social media, organizing and participating in industry events and webinars, and collaborating with strategic partners to expand marketing reach. You will also track and analyze marketing performance metrics to measure ROI and optimize campaigns, while investing in developer advocacy to build strong relationships within the developer community, recognizing their influence on CIO decision-making. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving clarity and influencing strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy for CIOs, including FCD, whitepapers, webinars, blog posts, and case studies.
  • Manage the company's digital presence, including website optimization, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Organize and participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to engage with CIOs.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to develop joint marketing initiatives and expand reach.
  • Track and analyze marketing performance metrics to measure ROI and optimize campaigns.
  • Invest in developer advocacy to build strong relationships with the developer community, recognizing their significant influence on CIO decision-making.
  • Create content that addresses developer pain points and showcases how the product can solve their problems, ultimately influencing CIOs to adopt the solution.
  • Encourage developers to share their success stories and experiences with the product, leveraging their credibility to influence CIOs.
  • Create partner programs that incentivize developers to promote the product to CIOs, recognizing their unique ability to advocate for the solution within enterprise organizations.
  • Actively participate in developer conferences and events, positioning the company as a thought leader and building relationships with influential developers who can influence CIO adoption.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, sales, or go-to-market background.
  • Proven experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on technology or enterprise software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of the CIO landscape and its challenges.
  • Expertise in creating strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and aligning with global stakeholders.
  • Ability to create a range of marketing assets, including on-message product demo videos and succinct slide pitch-decks in Apple Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making and a consistent track record of setting and delivering against measurable marketing metrics.
  • Ability to strategize and craft compelling messaging and positioning for technology products.
