About the position

The Sr. Manager, CIO Product Marketing at Salesforce will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategy to engage with Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and drive the adoption of Salesforce solutions. This position is crucial for developing and implementing innovative marketing programs that resonate with CIOs, positioning Salesforce as a strategic partner in their business transformation journeys. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting compelling product messaging and positioning, creating impactful campaigns, and executing go-to-market strategies that align with the needs of CIOs and their organizations. In this role, you will be expected to take ownership of a variety of initiatives that support pipeline generation and facilitate deal closures. You will act as a product and marketing expert, translating the needs of customers and sellers across various teams, including marketing, sales enablement, product, and field teams. Your responsibilities will encompass a comprehensive content strategy tailored for CIOs, which includes the development of whitepapers, webinars, blog posts, and case studies that highlight the value of Salesforce solutions. Additionally, you will manage the company's digital marketing efforts, optimizing the website, and overseeing social media and email marketing campaigns. Organizing and participating in industry events, conferences, and webinars will also be a key part of your role, allowing you to engage directly with CIOs and showcase Salesforce's thought leadership. Collaboration with strategic partners to create joint marketing initiatives will be essential for expanding reach and influence. You will also be responsible for tracking and analyzing marketing performance metrics to measure return on investment (ROI) and optimize campaigns accordingly. A significant aspect of this role will involve investing in developer advocacy, recognizing the influence developers have on CIO decision-making. You will create developer-centric content that addresses their pain points and showcases how Salesforce products can solve their challenges, ultimately driving CIO adoption. Encouraging developers to share their success stories and experiences with Salesforce will further enhance the company's credibility and influence in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy for CIOs, including FCD, whitepapers, webinars, blog posts, and case studies.
  • Manage the company's digital presence, including website optimization, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Organize and participate in industry events, conferences, and webinars to engage with CIOs.
  • Collaborate with strategic partners to develop joint marketing initiatives and expand reach.
  • Track and analyze marketing performance metrics to measure ROI and optimize campaigns.
  • Invest in developer advocacy to build strong relationships with the developer community.
  • Create content that addresses developer pain points and showcases how the product can solve their problems.
  • Encourage developers to share their success stories and experiences with the product.
  • Create partner programs that incentivize developers to promote the product to CIOs.
  • Actively participate in developer conferences and events, positioning the company as a thought leader.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, sales, or go-to-market background.
  • Proven experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on technology or enterprise software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of the CIO landscape and its challenges.
  • Expertise in creating strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and align with global stakeholders.
  • Ability to create a range of marketing assets, including product demo videos and pitch-decks in Apple Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making and deliver against measurable marketing metrics.
  • Ability to strategize and craft compelling messaging and positioning for technology products.
