About the position

The U.S. Business & Product Quality Head is responsible for the strategic direction, development, and implementation of quality and compliance policies, processes, and programs for the U.S. business. This role involves close collaboration with senior management to ensure effective communication and prioritization of quality issues across various departments, including Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Legal, Supply Chain, and R&D. The position aims to influence culture changes and improvements to maintain an appropriate level of quality and compliance risk within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the strategic direction and implementation of quality and compliance policies.
• Work closely with senior management to communicate and prioritize quality issues.
• Influence Marketing, Sales, Regulatory, Legal, Supply Chain, and R&D leaders to support quality improvements.
• Manage and develop team members, providing mentorship in technical areas.
• Lead strategic programs to meet regulatory requirements and ensure compliance.
• Monitor project progress, set deadlines, and manage budgets for quality initiatives.
• Oversee product development procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Build connections and partnerships across the organization to enhance collaboration.

Requirements

• University degree from an accredited institution in a related field.
• Over 15 years of technical experience in relevant industries.
• Generalist experience in at least three areas: consumer products, electronic devices, medical devices, food, dietary supplements, or pharmaceuticals.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Expertise in developing and implementing complex global quality strategies.
• Practical understanding of ISO13485 and MDSAP standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Risk Management of medical devices (ISO 14791).
• Knowledge of Electrical Safety Standards such as IEC 60335 and 60601.
• Familiarity with EMC Standards such as BS EN IEC 55014.
