About the position

The Lead Program Cost Analyst at Collins Aerospace plays a crucial role in financial planning, analysis, and forecasting, directly influencing high-stakes decision-making. Responsibilities

  • Participate in proposal development, including creating interim schedules and advising on Basis of Estimate (BOE) documents.
  • Operate independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments, often self-initiating tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Develop innovative solutions for complex problems, impacting the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the organization.
  • Lead preparation and analysis for monthly sales, profit, asset management, milestone billing forecasts, and contribute to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Strategic Financial Plan (SFP) efforts.
  • Assist Program Earned Value Analyst with scheduled and ad-hoc tasks, ensuring proper implementation of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
  • Support program and compliance reviews, including audits (e.g., DCAA, DCMA, Joint Surveillance Process), ensuring adherence to standardized processes and tools.
  • Capture weekly actual spend data and maintain program cost baselines, measuring performance against established baselines.
  • Lead program teams through month-end processes and reconcile data between accounting systems and project schedules.
  • Provide leadership for monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales forecasting, collaborating with financial planning, pricing, and contracts.
  • Present quarterly financial and earned value performance data to leadership.
  • Act as a liaison with government and internal EV auditors, ensuring compliance with Mission Systems' EV System Description.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Scheduling Software systems.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Earned Value Concepts preferred.
  • Experience working in Earned Value Cost Engines (Cobra, EVMS ForProject).
  • Previous experience working with Government contracts.
  • Aerospace/Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with Enterprise Systems (SAP).
