About the position

The Sr Manager of Risk Inventory & Goods at Amazon is responsible for overseeing the Global Security Operations related to inventory and goods within the RING division. This role is crucial in navigating the complexities of global supply chains and ensuring the security and efficiency of operations across multiple regions. The manager will develop strategies to minimize financial losses, enhance compliance, and implement best practices in inventory management while collaborating with various teams to align security efforts with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global shrink and loss prevention strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives and minimizes financial losses
  • Build, enhance, track, and report metrics which are key performance indicators for performance improvements
  • Ensure all loss prevention activities adhere to local, regional, and global standards
  • Collaborate closely with shrink champions, cross-functional teams, Operations, Legal, and PXT
  • Develop and implement best practices for secured inventory management
  • Develop business cases for change management that receive necessary approvals and resources
  • Manage complex data streams and identify meaningful, actionable trends
  • Support the development and deployment of cost-effective security systems and solutions
  • Positively reflect Amazon's security/Loss Prevention department through public relations and customer service

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 12 years of experience in loss prevention, accounting, product management/security, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of global security regulations and industry best practices
  • Experience with Business/Advanced analytics applications
  • Knowledge in Security/Financial/Enterprise Risk Management
  • Excellent document writing skills, especially for BRDs, Reviews, and PR FAQs
  • 3+ years of experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience in risk assessment and management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Proficiency in security technologies and data analysis tools
  • Effective communication and collaborative skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Financial accounting certifications such as CPA or CFEI
  • Security industry certifications like CPP, PSP, or PMP
  • Experience with Supply Chain Security/Resilience Certifications
  • Familiarity with TAPA or similar globally recognized security standards
