About the position

The role is focused on establishing Amazon as the world's most reliable shopping platform for safe and compliant products. The mission is to protect customers from unsafe, illegal, or policy-violating products while enabling Selling Partners to offer a wide range of compliant products. This is achieved through a science-first approach that ensures trustworthy listings, user-friendly compliance tools, and active engagement with stakeholders to build public trust. The Seller Compliance Enablement Vertical is responsible for educating and enforcing compliance among sellers, leveraging AI and LLM-generated education to proactively support compliance and deter bad actors through civil and legal actions. As a leader in this vertical, the individual will manage a global team of risk managers, establishing the vision and strategy for the team. They will be accountable for defining, implementing, and executing program objectives, tracking metrics, and evaluating program efficacy to drive improvements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to evaluate existing controls and influence the development of scalable tools and workflows for sellers. Regular communication with senior leadership regarding progress and alignment with goals is also a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a global team of risk managers.
  • Establish the vision, strategy, and implementation of pivotal outcomes for the team.
  • Define, implement, manage, and execute program objectives, including tracking metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate existing controls and influence technology and science teams in developing scalable seller experience tools and workflows.
  • Regularly communicate with senior leadership on progress to goals and seek support where necessary.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Over 10 years of leadership and people management experience in a dynamic operational setting.
  • Proficiency in Program/Project management.
  • Demonstrated involvement in developing and contributing to strategic planning processes.
  • Proficient capability to gather and analyze data to inform business strategies and decisions.
  • Effective coaching and leadership skills that enhance team performance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, etc.).
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication, with the ability to define technical requirements and prioritize tasks.
  • Capability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to a dynamic work environment and fast-paced workflow.
  • Proven track record of meticulous attention to detail, self-motivation, and follow-through.
  • Sound business acumen, demonstrated influence, and robust analytical reasoning.
  • Experience with extensive e-commerce platforms encompassing intricate business processes.
  • Proficiency in 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
