About the position

The Senior Manager of Sales Operations at ICON plc is responsible for overseeing sales data generation, tracking, and pipeline management, as well as managing the Commercial budget. This role ensures efficient management of sales operations and accurate reporting to senior leadership. The position involves managing sales performance reporting, assisting with incentive compensation calculations, and contributing to a culture of process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the creation and enhancement of service area forecasts for Commercial and Operational leadership.
• Oversee the completion of weekly and quarterly sales performance by Service Area.
• Manage current quarter and year-to-date results against applicable targets.
• Assist with the quarterly close process, including board presentation and investor call materials.
• Support the management of the ICON Business Development Incentive Compensation Plan calculations.

• Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and effective decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Relevant experience in a finance setting with progressive increases in responsibility and leadership.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles with a business focus.
• Pharmaceutical/biotech experience is preferred.
• Fluent understanding of clinical research aspects, including program design and management.
• Ability to interact with senior executives and think strategically.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, particularly in PowerPoint.
