About the position

The Sr Manager, Sales Operations at Dendreon Pharmaceuticals plays a crucial role within the Finance/Analytics organization, supporting Commercial Operations in sales and marketing initiatives. This position focuses on reporting and metrics, sales force incentive compensation, optimization, productivity, process automation, CRM, sales analytics, and budget management, ultimately aiming to enhance the effectiveness of the sales team and improve business efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor and partner to Department Leader and Commercial Sales Leadership.
  • Provide the quantitative basis for organization development strategy, including territory planning and sales forecasting.
  • Manage all operational reporting and sales metrics, including key performance indicators.
  • Design, develop, and administer the Incentive Compensation Plan to support the company's compensation philosophy of Paying For Performance.
  • Measure Sales Force Productivity and ensure effective implementation of established strategies and tactics.
  • Administer all monthly and quarterly sales commissions, bonuses, and SPIFFs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Accounting, and Marketing Teams on projects to improve business efficiencies and sales effectiveness.
  • Work closely with all Sales Data Vendors to ensure Dendreon is maximizing their resources.
  • Manage and develop members of the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Sales Operations leadership experience preferred.
  • Detailed understanding of Salesforce.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Life Science experience preferred.
  • Efficient in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, Territory Optimization Software, and B.I. Tools.
