As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of engineers within our Product Engineering department, specifically focusing on the checkout and fulfillment group. You will be accountable for the technical design, quality, implementation, and delivery of your team's work, ensuring that Zoro's engineering standards and best practices are upheld. In this role, you will conduct regular one-on-ones with your team members, providing timely and constructive feedback to help them navigate challenges and achieve their maximum potential. You will also be expected to clear obstacles that may hinder your team's progress and act as a thought leader within the organization. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be crucial, as you will be translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights for the broader organization. While you may not be writing code on a daily basis, your strong background in software development and web technologies will enable you to lead the engineering process effectively.
