About the position

Docusign is seeking a hands-on Senior Engineering Manager to join the Cloud Engineering organization and lead the Identity and Access Management team. This role involves managing the team responsible for building a modern identity management platform that will manage access to all Docusign production systems. The platform will oversee the life cycle of all users and services running on the infrastructure for all Docusign products. This position is a people manager role reporting to the Senior Director, Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a geographically distributed team of high performing engineers
  • Drive the roadmap and strategy for identity and access management for all Docusign production and development environments
  • Automate access in a secure and compliant manner, incorporating industry best practices for authentication, authorization and life cycle management
  • Work across a hybrid infrastructure model, with private cloud and multiple public cloud footprints
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners across security, compliance, application development and SRE orgs
  • Champion the culture, processes, and tools required to maintain a frictionless high-quality development environment
  • Mentor and guide engineers on the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence

Requirements

  • 8+ years of combined software development management experience across multiple languages and frameworks or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years hands on software development or equivalent experience
  • Experience with identity and access management systems, particularly Microsoft Active Directory and related products
  • Deep knowledge of identity related concepts such as JML, PIM, PAM, group policies, RBAC
  • Experience defining and refining scalable and reliable software systems
  • Experience hiring and growing engineering teams at all levels (junior to staff)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing team across multiple geographies
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance controls (STIG, CIS, ISO, FedRamp, IL4 etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience building enterprise applications that span private and public cloud infrastructure
  • Experience building full stack applications using various technologies and frameworks
