About the position

The Sr. Manager of Supply Chain Vendor Product Recall and Safety is responsible for overseeing a team that applies best practices in Supply Chain and Logistics. This role involves driving the resolution of inventory and vendor deficiencies, implementing strategies to streamline processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines. The manager will also focus on customer satisfaction, inventory management, and the development of long-term strategies to improve operational efficiency and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee team compliance with supply chain and logistics standards and practices.
  • Drive resolution of inventory, asset, and vendor deficiencies.
  • Implement recommendations to streamline processes and optimize operations.
  • Conduct audits of suppliers and facilitate business reviews based on audit results.
  • Manage customer service strategies to resolve issues and improve satisfaction levels.
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels and manage disruptions in inventory.
  • Develop strategies for purchasing that align with national sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding purchasing and inventory management.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and develop long-term strategies for vendor relationships.
  • Provide technical analysis and reporting services to support operational decisions.

Requirements

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience managing operational or project budgets.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, Finance, Material Management, Operations Research, or related field AND minimum seven (7) years of experience in purchasing, contracting, negotiations, material management, logistics, finance, or a directly related field.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Materials and Inventory Control/Management, Logistics, Finance, Distribution, or a directly related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Four (4) years of experience working cross-functionally across departments.
  • Three (3) years of experience in healthcare or another heavily regulated industry.
  • Four (4) years of experience in supply chain/logistics process improvement.
  • Five (5) years of experience implementing large or complex projects.
  • Vendor product recall experience at the program management or service level.
