About the position

Republic Services is seeking a highly motivated Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our pipeline strategy for university recruitment, early career programs, and strategic talent partnerships. This role will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive recruitment initiatives aimed at attracting top early career talent, including undergraduate, graduate candidates, as well as vocational and frontline candidates. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking capabilities, and demonstrate a proven track record in managing high-volume recruitment processes, including programmatic early career recruitment. The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager will create and implement a comprehensive university recruitment strategy aligned with the company's overall talent acquisition goals. This position will focus on building a robust pipeline of early career candidates, ensuring successful conversions of top talent into Republic Services' internship programs, early career programs, and direct placements within our business units. The role will also lead the strategy for recruitment into front-line internship programs, early career leadership development programs, and diversity partnerships, directly managing high-volume, end-to-end full cycle campus recruitment processes. In addition, the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager will develop and maintain strong relationships with universities, conferences, and diverse partnerships to enhance the company's visibility and presence. They will design and manage recruitment programs, including campus career fairs and on-campus events, while leading, mentoring, and developing a team of talent acquisition professionals focused on university recruitment. Setting clear goals, providing guidance, and ensuring the team effectively meets recruitment targets will be key responsibilities. The role will ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process and promote diversity and inclusion within university recruitment efforts by developing and implementing strategies to attract candidates from diverse backgrounds. The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager will manage and track the university talent pipeline, utilizing data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and make data-driven improvements. Close collaboration with key business stakeholders, hiring managers, and HR partners will be essential to understand hiring needs and ensure alignment with university recruitment efforts, providing insights and recommendations on talent acquisition strategies and best practices. Staying informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and changes in the university recruitment landscape will be crucial, allowing the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to adjust strategies as needed to stay competitive and attract top talent.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years professional recruiting experience within a corporate setting filling high level leadership roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience with direct reports.
  • Strong partnership and communication skills with the ability to influence candidates, site leadership, sales leadership, and hiring managers.
  • Ability to provide accurate and actionable feedback and coaching to recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing best-in-class sourcing and selection practices to leverage talent as a key driver in company growth and as a competitive advantage.
  • Proactive, innovative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to focus on managing change.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment.
  • Experience supporting an organization's diversity and inclusion initiative as it pertains to talent acquisition.
  • Experience working with a geographically dispersed and operationally decentralized workforce.
