About the position

The Sr. Manager Technical Program Management (TPM) for Infrastructure Capacity Management at AWS is responsible for overseeing a team that ensures the efficient operation and delivery of AWS global infrastructure. This role involves managing complex supply chain strategies, leading process improvements, and collaborating with various teams to enhance operational excellence while maintaining a customer-centric approach. The ideal candidate will thrive in ambiguity, possess strong analytical skills, and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as people manager for a team of 6 individual contributors.
  • Set up, lead and continuously improve the Supply and Operational Execution (S&OE) meetings with the service teams.
  • Drive improvements through software automation teams and advocate for technology programs.
  • Lead large-scale process/tool engineering efforts to solve complex problems.
  • Understand technical requirements of partners and guide internal development teams in supply chain activities.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in technical supply chain strategies and drive appropriate actions.
  • Develop new analytical models for supply chain solutions.
  • Execute strategic business objectives while collaborating with key internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present detailed data-driven business reviews to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Business, Supply Chain or related quantitative discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical program management, process improvement, implementation, risk identification and mitigation, and project execution.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience creating, iterating, and improving end-to-end operations.
  • Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • 3+ years professional experience in high technology or consumer electronics.
  • MBA or advanced degree in engineering, operations research, mathematics or other quantitative disciplines.
