About the position

The Sr. Manager to Assoc. Director, US Commercial Contracts and Budget Management is responsible for overseeing the contract submission and management process within the organization. This role involves developing best practices, training materials, and resources to support contract management, as well as providing project and budget management support for commercial activities. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including legal and procurement teams, and emphasizes the importance of effective communication and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, roll-out and maintenance of best practices and tools for the NA contract submission and management process.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of contracts management training materials and resources.
  • Facilitate and manage the review process for all assigned contracts from submission to execution.
  • Review contract intake forms and work with contract sponsors to obtain missing information.
  • Submit contract requests into ICE-360 for legal and procurement review.
  • Liaise with Incyte legal & vendors in negotiations until contracts are fully executed.
  • Work with contract sponsors & vendors to ensure timely completion of required assessments and new vendor forms.
  • Submit PO requests to Accounts Purchasing on behalf of Contract Sponsors.
  • Train new NA contract sponsors and super-users as needed.
  • Enable active cross-functional communication among the NA contracts/ICE-360 super-users.
  • Lead the development, launch and maintenance of a project and financial planning tool to support budget transparency and oversight.
  • Provide project management support for other commercial activities as needed.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and apply metrics for deliverables under his/her purview.
  • Create and maintain presentation slides, tracking tools, reports, and databases in support of commercial activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree (B.A., B.S.) is required; advanced degree in science or business is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or related fields with a B.A., B.S. or 5 years with an M.Sc.
  • Proven Project Management experience is required; PMP certificate preferred.
  • Experience with the contracting process and platforms in a pharma environment.
  • Demonstrated high level of competence with computers is essential.
  • Extensive experience with MS Office Applications is required.
  • Demonstrate success in developing effective solutions to complex problems.
  • Demonstrate success in establishing successful working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be a dependable self-starter capable of working independently on multiple projects.
  • Must possess excellent organization skills and be able to operate effectively in a heavily metricized organization.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal interaction skills.
