About the position

The Sr. Manager, U.S. SME Tele Sales Marketing & Enablement at American Express is a pivotal role within the Global Commercial Services (GCS) division, specifically focusing on the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) segment. In this role, the Sr. Manager will lead channel innovation for Tele Sales teams, focusing on enabling sales tools that elevate marketing strategies. The candidate must be adept at operating in a highly matrixed environment, learning complex internal systems and processes, and collaborating across teams. They will influence leadership at all levels and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing standardized workflows to optimize team efficiency, developing detailed project plans for marketing campaigns, establishing robust documentation practices, and leading a team of Marketing Campaign Execution Analysts. The Sr. Manager will also ensure quality control of marketing campaigns, conduct regular reviews for process improvement, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and manage risks associated with campaign execution. The ultimate goal is to enable marketing strategies that drive sales efficiencies and enhance the overall sales experience for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of all Tele Sales marketing campaigns.
  • Lead channel innovation for Tele Sales teams, focusing on enabling sales tools.
  • Design and implement standardized workflows and processes to optimize team efficiency.
  • Develop detailed project plans and timelines for all marketing campaigns.
  • Establish robust documentation practices to capture project details and generate regular reports.
  • Lead and manage a team of three Marketing Campaign Execution Analysts, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure all marketing campaigns meet high-quality standards and adhere to requirement guidelines.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication to enhance teamwork.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact campaign execution.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of marketing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing preferred (or equivalent).
  • Extremely detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative, goal-oriented professional with a proven track record for driving innovation.
  • Experience in project management with the ability to juggle many deadlines.
