About the position

The Sr. Manager Upstream Product Marketing - Barrigel at Teleflex is a key contributor to the marketing team, focusing on integrating the voice of physicians and patients into product development. This role involves identifying market opportunities, addressing customer needs through innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product commercialization. The position requires strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and strategic agility in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product strategy and pipeline roadmap for the Barrigel franchise, including new indications over the next five years.
  • Create release plans with specific features based on business value and speed to market.
  • Conduct market assessments to understand competitive environments and identify new market opportunities.
  • Develop business plans with projected revenue, profit targets, and NPVs for funded projects.
  • Build business cases to prioritize projects for the Barrigel franchise.
  • Plan annual OPEX spend for Upstream Marketing activities related to Barrigel projects.
  • Determine SKU rationalization projects with input from the Downstream team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required; MBA preferred.
  • More than 5 years of Product Management experience in the medical device industry required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with commercial sales teams and physicians.
  • Ability to lead and contribute to interdisciplinary teams with demonstrated results.
  • Demonstrable ability to execute projects within timeline and budget.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of urological treatments, relevant anatomy, procedures, and clinical needs.
  • Knowledge of the medical device registration and approval process in the U.S., Europe, and other international markets.
  • Experience with innovative Class II or Class III medical devices.
