About the position

The Senior Manager, Patient Experience & Customer Operations Communications will play a pivotal role within the US Heme Business Unit at Vertex. This position is focused on developing comprehensive communications aimed at educating healthcare professionals (HCPs) at authorized treatment centers (ATCs) and patients suffering from sickle cell disease (SCD) and transfusion-dependent thalassemia (TDT) who are navigating the CASGEVY treatment journey. The materials produced will be utilized by a dedicated team of care managers to effectively engage and inform these critical stakeholders throughout their treatment process. In this role, the Senior Manager will be responsible for the successful ideation, development, and execution of key tactics, messages, and materials that Care Managers will employ with HCPs and patients. This includes managing the development of these tactics in collaboration with agency partners, validating them with key internal stakeholders, and overseeing the review and approval process through the Commercial Review Committee (CRC). A deep understanding of the CASGEVY treatment journey is essential, including potential deviations, customer pain points, and knowledge gaps. The Senior Manager will identify opportunities to address these challenges and close gaps through effective messaging and materials. Collaboration is a key component of this position. Additionally, the role requires partnering with the Operations team and Apheresis Infusion Specialist team to understand the needs and challenges faced by field-facing teams, and to collaboratively develop tactical solutions.
