About the position

The Sr. Manager, US Trade and Field Marketing - Emerging Brands at Deckers Brands is a pivotal role responsible for leading marketing initiatives that drive brand affinity, customer engagement, and demand at retail for the Teva and Ahnu brands. This position is integral to the mission of Emerging Brands, which is to incubate, nurture, and scale high-potential brands by leveraging strategic insights and innovative thinking. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail marketing strategies, particularly within the footwear industry, and will be tasked with developing and implementing comprehensive retail marketing strategies that align with brand goals and accelerate brand affinity while driving sell-through. In this role, the Sr. Manager will oversee the execution and optimization of all marketing campaigns and programs specific to retail, which includes digital marketing, print, social media, and in-store promotions and events. The candidate will also be responsible for cultivating relationships with external partners, wholesale accounts, specialty accounts, agencies, and vendors, as well as collaborating with internal cross-functional partners to support retail marketing initiatives. This position will manage a team of three direct reports, including key account marketing, specialty marketing, and field marketing (contract), fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. The successful candidate will be passionate about retail, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a strong analytical mindset to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. With a focus on enhancing customer engagement and sales, this role is crucial for amplifying the presence of Teva and Ahnu at retail and achieving ambitious marketing goals.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic marketing planning and implementation of comprehensive retail marketing strategies for both Teva and Ahnu that align with brand goals, accelerate brand affinity and drive sell-through.
  • Plan and oversee the execution, and optimization of all marketing campaigns and programs specific to retail, including digital marketing, print, social media, and in-store promotions and events.
  • Develop, implement and scale an impactful field marketing program for both Teva and Ahnu to engage key retail accounts, partners and consumers.
  • Cultivate and grow relationships with external partners, wholesale accounts, specialty accounts, agencies, and vendors as well as a range of internal cross-functional partners to support retail marketing initiatives and maximize resources.
  • Manage and mentor a team of retail marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of footwear market dynamics, retail channel, consumer behavior, and industry trends.
  • 10+ years of experience in retail marketing within the footwear industry, with a proven track record of successful campaigns and strategic leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
