About the position

The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer (Pressurized Test Equipment) at Eaton's IS AER MSD division is responsible for supporting production groups in developing new high and low pressure test stands and equipment. This role involves planning, managing, and implementing changes to existing test stands to comply with Eaton's safety requirements, while also coordinating technology solutions aligned with Eaton's I4.0 expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Support all production groups to develop new high and low pressure test stands/equipment internally and create statement of work for external suppliers to quote.
  • Plan, manage and implement the change over of current high pressure test stands to meet Eaton safety requirements.
  • Coordinate and implement technology solutions aligned with Eaton I4.0 expectations, focusing on test stands and equipment that contain high and low pressure.
  • Become certified to Eaton MESH standards (minimum of MESH 7.4, 8.0).
  • Support Tool Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers with design solutions for high/low pressure equipment to achieve the final product testing needed.
  • Create, implement & roll-out a detailed communications plan for test stand efforts.
  • Create and manage CAPEX plans and equipment from initiation to implementation.
  • Create schematics for the plumbing section of the test stands.
  • Undertake regular face to face site reviews to ensure projects and ROI are on-track.
  • Manage the change over of the current high pressure test stands to new systems that meet Eaton Safety standards.
  • Support LabVIEW programs/troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot and participate in failure analysis activities for the suite of test stands.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a Manufacturing Engineering position.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with product/test equipment design and implementations.
  • Experience with Solidworks/LabVIEW/PID controller programming.
  • Manufacturing experience in Aerospace/Pneumatic/Gas Industry.
  • Experience with stress analysis on pressure boundaries/components.
  • Lean six sigma experience.
