About the position

Eaton Aerospace's Camarillo, California facility is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer within our Interconnect Technologies Division. This position is pivotal in providing support for both new and existing product development activities, as well as offering assistance to customers, suppliers, partners, and internal manufacturing cells. The role encompasses participation in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancement tasks in targeted areas, ensuring that manufacturing processes are not only efficient but also safe and environmentally responsible. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving manufacturing processes that adhere to Eaton's Environmental, Safety, and Health (MESH) standards, as well as industry best practices. This includes designing processes that ensure components and assemblies meet all internal and external customer quality specifications, particularly those outlined in the Eaton Quality System and AS9100 standards. The engineer will engage cross-functionally with plant operations and product engineering to define product and process flows through materials requirement planning (MRP), facilitating the systematic movement of new products through the factory. In this role, the engineer will actively support the facility in achieving on-time completion of program deliverables through manufacturing process excellence. Responsibilities also include the disposition of discrepant materials in collaboration with Operations and Quality personnel, as well as the creation and maintenance of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEAs), routers, and process documents to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and cost targets are met. The engineer will manage manufacturing change orders to ensure the implementation of engineering releases and work to improve product flow through the plant by reducing inputs into the Material Review Board (MRB) process and addressing process stop occurrences swiftly. Additionally, the Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will provide functional and technical support within their assigned area and participate in the design, definition, and manufacturing of production tooling. This position requires on-site work from Monday to Friday at the Camarillo facility, and relocation assistance is not available for this role.
