About the position
The Sr. Manufacturing Project Engineer will play a crucial role in designing material handling and packaging solutions for food processing clients across North America. This position involves collaborating with a team of architects, engineers, and project managers on large-scale projects, providing mentorship, and executing a range of engineering competencies from concept to commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Participate on design teams focusing on plant layout and material flow.
- Design food manufacturing and packaging equipment, as well as material handling and storage systems.
- Work with senior team leaders on conceptual layouts, design studies, and construction drawings and specifications.
- Proactively interact with multi-discipline teams and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or related engineering field required; PE is a plus.
- 10+ years of design and quality control experience in medium and/or high-speed packaging and material handling; food & beverage/pharmaceutical experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; Revit experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated success in blending strong technical skills with excellent client and vendor relations.
- Ability to add value and drive assignments to completion.
