About the position

The position is responsible for analyzing market intelligence to support the distribution process across branches, customers, and sales channels. The role focuses on developing customer and branch analytics, modeling for various lines of business, and providing insights into profitability metrics and performance improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer and branch base around household growth, attrition, and cross-sell performance.
  • Participate in affiliate market reviews providing insights into household profitability and branch performance.
  • Build relationships with key partners in the bank including Marketing, IT, Segment team, and product teams.
  • Provide input into the creation of detailed project plans, work assignments, target dates and other aspects of assigned projects.
  • Identify and work with vendors to benchmark performance vs. peer groups and provide best in class metrics.
  • Conduct market research to understand valuable insights on industry trends, customer segments, and sales channels.
  • Develop target groups around product lead generation based upon analytics/models of the customer base.
  • Provide insights around key customer segments and performance, analyzing trends to identify opportunities for improvement in customer profitability.
  • Analyze customer data and demographics to understand product usage and purchase behavior.
  • Perform data mining and predictive analytics.
  • Analyze overall branch network focusing on new site selection, consolidations, relocations, and remodels.
  • Optimize overall distribution network by determining optimal number of branches/ATMs by market.
  • Understand how overall distribution network affects branch performance.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in market intelligence and customer analytics.
  • Proficiency in data mining and predictive analytics techniques.
  • Ability to build relationships with various stakeholders across departments.
  • Experience in conducting market research and analyzing industry trends.
  • Familiarity with profitability metrics and performance analysis.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
