About the position

The Sr. Marketing Automation Manager at Vonage plays a crucial role in the Marketing Operations team, which is responsible for delivering impactful marketing campaigns across the organization. This position is integral to the execution and performance of marketing initiatives, ensuring that they are built and executed effectively to drive pipeline growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical proficiency in marketing technology and a keen eye for detail, as they will be working daily within these systems to build and execute campaigns. The role requires a proactive problem solver with a 'can-do' attitude, capable of collaborating with various stakeholders to understand business needs and goals. In this position, the Sr. Marketing Automation Manager will oversee strategic and operational initiatives across marketing and other functions, focusing on performance improvements and enhancing the impact of marketing efforts. The role involves structuring problems, conducting thorough analyses, and driving solutions through a data-driven approach. The manager will create and manage project plans with clearly defined deliverables, coordinate work streams, track progress, and address any obstacles that arise. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for designing and optimizing processes and business rules to maximize the effectiveness of the marketing technology stack, particularly in Account Engagement (Pardot). They will build, test, launch, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Training users and assisting in the creation of training materials will also be part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategic and operational initiatives across marketing and with other functions to drive performance improvements.
  • Collaborate across functions to structure problems, conduct analysis, and drive solutions through a rigorous, data-driven process.
  • Create and manage project plans with clearly defined deliverables and resources, coordinate work streams and dependencies, track and communicate progress, and identify obstacles and ensure they are addressed.
  • Design/redesign processes & business rules to optimize the results from the end-to-end tech stack in Account Engagement (Pardot).
  • Build, test, launch, and optimize multi-channel (email, nurture, sms) marketing campaigns maximizing real-time triggers, segmentation, and personalization to create seamless customer journeys.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate regulations and company policies.
  • Train users, assist in creating and documenting training materials.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience and demonstrated expertise working with marketing automation and engagement platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Account Engagement, etc.) required.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting marketing and sales with a thorough understanding of lead-to-revenue processing workflows.
  • Proven experience launching and high visibility, high-performing multi-channel campaigns.
  • Experience building, testing, and optimizing HTML emails for various clients with dynamic coding required.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously, perform in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of detail and accuracy.

  • Proven track record of successfully driving business improvement within Global Marketing organizations in SaaS, CPaaS or similar industries.
  • Possess a deep understanding of marketing technologies, including CRM, analytics, and automation tools & a demonstrable track record of using technology to deliver strong business outcomes.
  • Logical and process-driven mindset to optimize marketing workflows.
  • Experience working in a global business environment, understanding cultural nuances, and adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Progressive experience managing email marketing communications in an enterprise environment.
