About the position

The Senior Marketing Manager, Brand at Cengage Group is responsible for driving the brand strategy for the Higher Education division. Responsibilities

  • Protect the brand by ensuring all products and services resonate with current and future customers.
  • Uphold brand integrity by consulting with marketing teams on campaign accuracy.
  • Implement the brand across various channels and mediums in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Amplify brand presence through reputational content campaigns and customer stories.
  • Educate internal partners and external vendors on brand adoption and respect.
  • Guide and maintain brand relevance by staying updated on market and industry activities.
  • Lead the refreshment of brand assets and improvement of the brand center.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and market research to ensure brand relevance across multiple channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in customer-centric roles and leading a brand across multiple markets.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, management, and positioning.
  • Experience in developing and implementing creative brand campaigns across various channels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze market trends and brand performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in conducting market research and competitive analysis for brand differentiation.
  • Knowledge of creative development processes and working with external agencies.
  • Familiarity with brand guidelines development and implementation.
  • Ability to apply big picture thinking while managing details, with an organized and independent work approach.
