About the position

The Senior Marketing Manager, Brand at Cengage Group is responsible for driving the brand strategy for the Higher Education division. The position plays a crucial role in shaping the brand's perception and driving growth in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Protect the brand by ensuring all products and services resonate with current and future customers.
  • Consult with marketing teams to ensure accurate brand activation in campaigns.
  • Collaborate across functions to implement the new brand across various channels and mediums.
  • Support reputational content campaigns by incorporating customer stories into content.
  • Work with internal partners and external vendors to help them understand and respect the brand.
  • Stay updated on market and industry activity to keep the brand relevant and competitive.
  • Maintain and refresh brand assets and improve the brand center.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and market research to ensure the brand is relevant and compelling.
  • Own cohesive brand strategy across multiple channels including social media, blogs, and brand partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in customer-centric roles and leading a brand across multiple markets.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, management, and positioning.
  • Experience in developing and implementing creative brand campaigns across various channels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze market trends and brand performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
  • Knowledge of creative development processes, including working with external agencies.
  • Familiarity with brand guidelines development and implementation.
  • Ability to apply big picture thinking while managing details, organized and independent approach to work.
