About the position

ZipRecruiter is seeking a highly motivated Senior Marketing Manager to lead Paid Search (SEM/PPC) and YouTube execution and strategy within its large in-house marketing team. This role involves owning B2B and B2C paid search lead generation programs, executing paid YouTube marketing campaigns, and collaborating with various marketing channels. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and an effective communicator, excited to contribute to ZipRecruiter's mission of connecting people to their next great opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Own the hands-on execution and strategy of Paid Search and Paid YouTube channels.
  • Meet and collaborate with Google and Microsoft representatives to improve marketing efforts.
  • Conduct analysis and audits to optimize Google Ads and Microsoft Ads spend.
  • Collaborate with the SEO team to identify opportunities for SEO via SEM data and vice versa.
  • Contribute to marketing strategy, thought leadership, and financial planning.
  • Prepare ad hoc and recurring updates on spend and marketing performance.
  • Support other marketing team members with execution and analysis across other business areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree from a top university, major in Business or Marketing preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with Paid Search / SEM (Google Ads and Microsoft Ads).
  • 2+ years of experience executing paid YouTube advertising.
  • Strong hands-on experience with most Google Ads products (Demand Gen, Discovery, UAC, Display, Performance Max, DSA, Experiments, Google Ads Editor, RSAs).
  • Strong hands-on experience with various YouTube products and ad formats.
  • Proven data analysis and strong experience with Microsoft Excel (vlookups and pivot tables), Google Sheets, and Google Docs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with B2B or B2C lead generation.
  • Ability to identify improvements and restructure accounts to improve performance.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge of Google Ads scripts.
