About The Position

Hoffman Hydronics is actively seeking a qualified Sr. Mechanical Designer who upholds and adheres to the company's core values. The position involves creating preliminary proposal layouts of packages for sale using AutoCAD, estimating package fabrication costs using Microsoft Excel, and collaborating with the sales team on package design. The designer will also create 3D models and submittal drawings using Autodesk Inventor, develop a suite of fabrication drawings for the product team, troubleshoot with the production team, and address any other loose ends required to complete and ship out a package. Additionally, the designer will create 3D model libraries and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associates Degree required
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience required; 5+ years experience preferred
• Highly developed interpersonal and analytical skills
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
• Strong time management skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

Responsibilities

• Create preliminary proposal layouts of packages for sale using AutoCAD
• Estimate package fabrication costs for sale using Microsoft Excel
• Work with sales on design of package
• Create 3D models of packages and submittal drawings for sale using Autodesk Inventor
• Create suite of fabrication drawings for product team
• Troubleshoot with production team
• Address any other loose ends as required to complete and ship out a package
