In addition to technical responsibilities, the Sr. Mechanical Engineer will interact with clients and participate in budget and project development. The role involves mentoring associate engineers and designers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their careers. The engineer will be expected to relay any apparent training needs to the department head and ensure that all work is completed on or before scheduled milestones, including necessary coordination and approvals. Attention to detail is crucial, as the engineer must ensure that design components meet industry standards and that all work is completed within assigned budgets. The position also requires good written and verbal communication skills, as the engineer will need to effectively communicate with project managers, senior management, and clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy industrial projects, particularly with piping, P&IDs, industrial processes, project management, and construction engineering. Familiarity with standard software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and Microsoft Office is essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Requires 5 plus years of commercial and industrial project experience as a Professional Engineer
  • BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required
  • PE License required
  • Heavy industrial experience with piping, P&ID's, industrial processes, project management and construction engineering required
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project and Microsoft Office
