About the position

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be part of a cross-functional team focused on designing, building, and testing a torpedo tube deployment system for submarines. This role is critical in enhancing the capabilities of advanced defense platforms, ensuring safety and operational effectiveness in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a torpedo tube deployment system for submarines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Conduct structural and thermal analyses to meet environmental requirements.
• Utilize CAD tools to create 3D models and technical data packages.
• Ensure designs comply with ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of job-related experience, or a master's degree plus 6 years of experience.
• Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Experience in designing electro-mechanical systems for harsh environments.
