About the position

The Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for leading multiple MEP projects, mentoring junior engineers, and independently designing projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively present to clients and produce detailed design documents and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with/present to clients regarding projects
• Head up multiple MEP projects
• Mentor/train mechanical engineers/designers
• Independently design projects from schematic design through project completion
• Produce detailed design documents and specifications

Requirements

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering required
• 12+ years of HVAC engineering experience
• Good working knowledge of IMC, IECC and ability to perform Energy Modeling using TRACE, eQUEST or other programs
• Strong understanding of ASHRAE Standards, especially 55, 90.1 & 62.1
• Experience in projects with sustainable solutions including LEED certifications or net zero energy are a plus
• PE license preferred
• Strong communicator with the ability to interact with a variety of clients
