About the position

The Sr. Member Solutions Specialist - Collections is responsible for managing delinquent member accounts, including various types of loans and credit products. This role involves reaching out to members to rectify overdraft situations, assisting in setting up payment plans, and handling delinquency and recovery queries. The position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring three days on-site and two days remote, with occasional Saturday work.

Responsibilities

• Handle calls regarding delinquent member accounts
• Reach out to members via phone and email regarding unresolved overdrafts
• Assist members in establishing payment plans for outstanding overdraft amounts
• Place outbound calls to manage delinquency and charge off/recovery queries
• Perform skip tracing as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of collection procedures and related laws/regulations
• 3-5 years of Collections Experience in the auto loan industry or full-service financial institution
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain conversations and find solutions
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
• High level of analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience with CBR disputes
• Knowledge of e-Oscar, Symitar, and Temenos preferred

Nice-to-haves

• Familiar with default and enforcement clauses
• Familiar with deposit programs, account ownership, and casualty insurance
• Previous experience in a credit union
• Basic understanding of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a huge bonus
