About the position
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical expertise and leadership to the manufacturing engineering team, coordinating resources to support operations and customer product teams on complex projects. The role focuses on maintaining state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, ensuring continuous improvement, and leading new product launches and existing product line changes.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and leadership to the manufacturing engineering team.
- Coordinate manufacturing engineering resources to support operations and customer product teams.
- Maintain the prototype lab area and support design and production intent production.
- Implement cost reduction programs through specification changes and process improvements.
- Provide timely updates to management on project timing status and program plans.
- Ensure error-free launches of new processes and products.
- Mentor engineers and promote career development within the team.
- Manage technology applications and bring new products to production.
- Review engineering projects to prevent problems and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain effective communication with OEMs and support customer visits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or related roles.
- Strong project management skills and experience with new product launches.
- Proficiency in statistical methods and design of experiments (D.O.E.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
