About the position
The Sr. Manager of Application Development at CVS Health is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions that are critical to the company's operations. This role involves managing project deliverables, timelines, and communication with management and business partners, while ensuring that development efforts meet quality standards. The position requires a strong understanding of software architecture and the ability to deliver innovative solutions to complex business needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions critical to CVS Health operations.
- Take ownership of projects and utilize approved standards and technologies to analyze and design complex solutions.
- Manage project deliverables and projected timelines, communicating project statuses to management and business partners.
- Complete development efforts within defined timelines while adhering to quality standards.
- Work with business analysts and business partners to coordinate and schedule development efforts.
- Develop established practices and methodologies, standards, and guidelines for design and development, architectural standards, unit testing, debugging, and program documentation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of .Net with C# experience
- 5+ years of experience with .Net, Angular, MVC, JavaScript
- 5+ years of solid SQL query skills, SQL performance tuning & optimization, SQL Server stored procedures and methodologies
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with health care or PBM industry including claims adjudication processing.
- 2+ years experience with Teradata Data Warehouse
- Understanding of Web security
- SSIS and SSRS experience
- Familiarity with Visual Studio, SQL Server, and 3rd party controls (i.e., Telerik)
- Experience in data delivery support - data feed and file transfer
