About the position

The Sr. Manager, Content Marketing at Post Consumer Brands is responsible for leading social media, public relations, and branded website initiatives for both pet and grocery categories. This role focuses on maximizing the organic output of consumer-facing channels, managing a team of internal and external experts, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to drive results in earned channels. The position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and the ability to analyze data to inform marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of internal and external experts in social media, PR, and website management.
  • Direct and develop talent within the team.
  • Influence and educate cross-functional stakeholders on earned investment strategies.
  • Work closely with brand, sales, marketing communications, and insights teams.
  • Combine brand insights with sales priorities to create recommendations for social media, PR, and website.
  • Partner with agencies to define earned KPIs and measurement approaches.
  • Lead annual planning workstreams for organic social, PR, and branded website across all brands.
  • Develop activations for organic social, PR, and branded website.
  • Recommend A&C investments to achieve KPI forecasted results.
  • Present planning milestones and gain approval from key leadership stakeholders.
  • Own the development of channel strategies in partnership with external agencies.
  • Guide organic and agency investments and educate teams on their impact on sales and goals.
  • Set measurement goals for owned channels and create reporting structures for internal share outs.
  • Translate data into actionable insights, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Educate and communicate the impact of earned programs to the broader organization.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze programs to improve audience understanding and increase impact.
  • Lead creative optimizations and testing strategies, including A/B testing at the channel level.

Requirements

  • BA required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, content marketing, social media, and/or PR.
  • 3-4 years of experience leading teams, with experience leading people leaders being a plus.
  • Digital experience on agency or client side is required.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking ability.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and communicate data effectively to stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
