About the position

The Senior Manager of Digital Enablement at Southwest Airlines plays a crucial role in enhancing the company's digital capabilities and analytics. This position leads a team focused on enabling new technology and maximizing existing tools to improve customer engagement and operational efficiency. The role involves collaboration across various departments, including Marketing and Technology, to develop strategies that leverage digital channels for better customer insights and communication. The Senior Manager is expected to foster a culture of innovation and mentorship within the team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and influence the achievement of the mission, goals, and objectives of the department and organization as it relates to digital enablement.
  • Participate fully in organizational processes/initiatives, performance management, interviewing, budgeting, training, etc.
  • Maintain authority position in the level of awareness and best practices associated with digital capabilities across communication channels, tools, and emerging digital technologies.
  • Partner across the Customer Organization, Technology Organization, and the larger Southwest organization and with solution partners to understand the company's digital needs and guide the marketing technology roadmap.
  • Lead and develop both the Digital Enablement and the Digital Data Collection & Activation teams.
  • Oversee the development, testing, quality control, and execution of new digital capabilities that help improve the Customer organization's goals.
  • Provide Technical thought Leadership related to assigned functional areas and lead the implementation and usage of all digital related technologies.
  • Deliver technology solutions using best practices to achieve maximum Team productivity while delivering high quality products.
  • Work with cross-functional Teams to ensure that priorities and complexity of requirements can be met with available resources and timelines.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships and credibility while influencing and driving change across respective Business, Marketing, Digital Experience, Technology & Customer Experience Teams.
  • Develop and execute strategies and processes to improve performance and the value of products and services provided.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s).
  • Fully functioning, broad knowledge in email communications, business solutions, marketing technology, or digital marketing.
  • Experience with platform implementation and integration (Website, Native Mobile App, Email, Kiosk).
  • Expert knowledge of common digital tools across content management, personalization, analytics, and 3rd party marketing & data integration platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe Campaign, Adobe Assets, Interwoven Content Management, Adobe Creative Suite, Movable Ink Personalization, Airship App & Web Messaging, Salesforce Service Cloud, and SiteImprove.
  • Experience with Email Service Providers (Adobe, Salesforce, etc.), Outbound Messaging Platforms (Salesforce, Adobe), Analytics Platforms (Adobe, Google), Personalization Platforms.
