About the position

The Sr. Manager of NALA Manufacturing Operations at AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for leading strategic partnerships with suppliers involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and integration of AWS servers. This role focuses on optimizing supplier performance across various metrics, including cost, quality, and sustainability, while managing complex negotiations and cross-functional collaborations. The position requires a visionary leader who can balance tactical execution with strategic foresight to drive transformational change in AWS's supplier ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and orchestrate the end-to-end strategic partnership with suppliers for AWS servers and server rack integration.
  • Manage supplier performance optimization across cost, quality, capacity, delivery, compliance, and sustainability.
  • Negotiate and execute complex, high-value supplier agreements and contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to steer RFPs, evaluate responses, and align on business awards.
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to meet AWS's cost objectives.
  • Identify and leverage emerging industry trends to shape supplier product roadmaps.
  • Craft data-driven narratives and presentations for senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Manage high-stakes vendor escalations and conduct comprehensive business reviews.

Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical or quantitative field.
  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing and hardware manufacturing, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience in negotiating and managing multi-million dollar contracts and strategic partnerships at the executive level.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to influence C-suite executives and key stakeholders through data-driven insights.
  • Experience in leading large-scale, complex projects that impact organizational performance.
  • Track record of implementing cutting-edge supply chain technologies and methodologies.
