About the position

This position provides leadership within the Operations & Maintenance function at Fluor, focusing on managing small and less complex maintenance projects or overseeing multiple site managers. The role involves strategic decision-making that impacts the organization, clients, and project outcomes, while fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain client relationships through regular communication to understand project operations and gather feedback.
  • Manage project work according to contract terms, optimizing returns and eliminating leakage.
  • Identify profit share and bonus opportunities by assessing performance excellence and implementing incentive programs.
  • Review and manage risks as assigned by the director of operations, identifying significant business risks.
  • Develop on-site assessments of client operations to identify future requirements and upselling opportunities.
  • Apply analytical tools to assess client organizations and enhance profitability potential.
  • Ensure compliance with contract and Operating System Requirements (OSR) by clearly defining and documenting project duties.
  • Develop and adhere to Site Business Plans (SBP), monitoring budgets and performance with periodic reporting.
  • Support sales efforts by assisting in presentations, estimates, and proposals, including negotiating terms.
  • Manage personnel, fostering professional development through training and performance feedback.
  • Administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines and locations.
  • Analyze situations to identify problems, evaluate options, and recommend actions.
  • Organize and prioritize complex projects and tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
  • Adhere to Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management within the Operations & Maintenance sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and develop staff.
  • Excellent communication skills for maintaining client relationships and internal collaboration.
  • Analytical skills to assess client needs and develop strategic project plans.
  • Ability to manage risks and ensure compliance with contracts and policies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales presentations and negotiations.
